Registration Terms And Conditions For Photography Classes


  1. Registering for any photography class indicates your understanding and agreement to the terms and conditions set forth in the Registration Terms and Conditions For Photography Classes.

    1. The Registration Terms and Conditions For Photography Classes can be changed without notice, at anytime.
  2. How To Register:

    1. You can register online or via phone by contacting Sam D’Amico. Contact Sam.

      1. All payments for class registrations are processed online and are processed securely.

  3. Refunds and Exchanges/Transfer:

    1. Unless a class, in its entirety, is canceled or overfilled, there are no refunds. Weather cancellations/Delays do not apply.
    2. Except as stated in section #5, (Non-Attendance, Cancellations and Rescheduling) if a transfer is possible, there is a $50.00 transfer/administrative fee.

  4. Missing A Meeting During a Multi-meeting (Introduction To Photography; Intermediate Photography) class:

    1. If you miss a meeting during a multi-week class, you may be able to make up that meeting free of charge by attending the meeting you missed during a class that is currently in progress.
      1. Only one meeting can be made up for free.
      2. Making up missed meetings are contingent upon there being space in the class and if the class is still being offered.
      3. There are no guarantees that missed meetings can be made up.
      4. You can also make up a missed meeting with a private lesson that covers the same topic that you missed (at least 1.5 hours is suggested, payment is required).
      5. Please contact Sam to schedule your missed meeting at least one week in advance.

  5. Non-Attendance, Cancellations and Rescheduling:

    1. When you register for a group class or private instruction you are purchasing a space in a group class or private instruction class for a specific date and time.
      1. For registrations made by you, or by a third party on your behalf, directly through the Sam D’Amico Photography website (samdamico.com):
        1. If you do not attend, wish to cancel or wish to reschedule the class the you are scheduled to attend:
          1. If notice is not given, or is given in less than 7 days from the start date of the class that you are registered to attend:
            1. No credit code or refund will be given.
              1. The full price for the class will be charged if you wish to confirm a spot in an upcoming class.
                1. You must reschedule your class directly through the Sam D’Amico Photography website (samdamico.com).
              2. You can also:
                1. Wait and see if any upcoming/scheduled classes will run and see if there is space in the class for you to attend.
                  1. Please contact Sam a day or two before the class is scheduled to see if it will be running and if there is space for you to attend. If you’d like reminders about upcoming classes get on Sam’s email list
                2. Receive a credit that you can apply toward private instruction time. Either online or in person in Washington, DC.
                  1. Please contact Sam  if you’re interested in private instruction.
            2. This does not apply to missing a single meeting in a multi-meeting class.
          2. If notice is  given more than  7 days in advance from the start date of the class that you are registered to attend:
          3. You’ll be provided a credit code for the original value of the class, minus a fifty dollar ($50.00) administrative fee, to use to register for an upcoming class.
          4. You must reschedule your class directly through the Sam D’Amico Photography website (samdamico.com).
  6. Weather Delays:

    1. Quick Study-Single Meeting Classes
      1. In the event that a single meeting class is cancelled due to weather a credit code will be issued, for the amount paid for the cancelled class, and delivered by email.
      2. The credit code can be used to register for any future class, as long as the class is equal or greater than the amount of the credit code.
    2. Multi Week-Multiple Meeting Classes
      1. If a meeting during a multi-week class is cancelled due to weather the class schedule will be altered to makeup the cancelled meeting.
    3. There is no rescheduling private lessons due to weather, unless the weather causes limited public transportation.
    4. How is the decision made to reschedule a class due to weather?
      1. The decision is mainly based on public transportation limitations and partially on The Office Of Personnel Management Snow & Dismissal Procedures.

    5. How are people notified of a weather delay?
      1. Directly via e-mail.
      2. A “Special Weather Announcement” link will be posted on the home page of https://samdamico.com
  7. If One Person Is Registered For A Class:

    1. In the event that a workshop that consists of more than three hours has only one participant registered, since this is private instruction, the total workshop time will be reduced in length to one-half (1/2) of the originally scheduled time.

  8. Payment Terms For Private-Customized Photography Instruction:

    1. Private Instruction schedules are not confirmed until payment is made in full.
