A Discussion About Composition In Photography
- A blog post/written thoughts based on conversations with participants during the Introduction To Photography class.
During the part of the class where we view and discuss the photographs created based on the homework given at the end of the previous meeting photographer asked me If I would critique their homework. In terms of the homework assignment the pictures the photographer displayed were excellent. The discussion we had about the work created, within the context of the assignment, demonstrated that the photographer was incorporating the thought process and technique into their work. Excellent!!!
The photographer seemed to also want a critique based on what I thought of their work as a professional photographer.
Nope. I ain’t gonna do it.
Beyond of the irrelevance of me bein’ a professional photographer within the context of this discussion, here’s why I won’t critique anyone’s work.
