Disappointment

It’s part of life.

You’ll disappoint yourself, you’ll disappoint others and others will disappoint you.

This applies to your photography, too.

From where I see things you have three choices.

  1. Continue to live with disappointment.
  2. We can try to please everyone, including yourself, and attempt to exceed their expectations, but it ain’t gonna’ work. As Viggo Mortensen said, “If you’re trying to please everyone, then you’re not going to make anything that is honestly yours, I don’t think, in the long run.”
  3. The other way is not to try to do anything to be disappointed about.

Choice #1 is the clear choice.

If you’re trying to be a better photographer, the path is  full of disappointment. The upside is that you can learn from your disappointment.

Not people pleasing others have given me my own identity. At the end of the day, no one is here but me. So I rely on my constance dedication to photography which has lifted my aspirations of passion.
