During a recent meeting of an Introduction To Photography class, a participant mentioned that they didn’t do their homework because they didn’t have time to got to “an interesting” place to make pictures.
Are places inherently interesting? For that matter, is anything inherently “interesting” ?
I would suggest that “interesting” is only “interesting” from the perspective of the one that is “interested”.
As photographers, many of us believe that it’s useful to see interesting things to photograph.
Since there is nothing that is inherently “interesting”, I disagree.
As photographers, I think that It’s most useful to see whatever we’re seeing in an interesting way.
