What’s the difference between a photography class, a photography course and a photography lesson?
In my mind, as a teacher, a class is instruction based on a specific topic or goal. For example the Introduction To Photography class that I offer is intended to teach the participants how to work their camera while learning the basics of photography.
A photography course, on the other hand, is a series of classes that, if done in the right order, will build on each other to take the student in the direction that they want to go.
A lesson is something learned from experiencing and practicing the skills taught during a class. For example, when a student learns how to use the light meter in their camera, that’s a lesson learned.
How we choose to learn is an individual matter. Take whatever class or course you feel that would benefit you the most and practice the lessons taught.
