What We See Ain’t What We Get
- A blog post/written thoughts based on conversations with participants during the Introduction To Photography Class class.
There’s what we see with our eyes and then there’s the picture that we get with our camera.
They ain’t the same.
When we record what we see with our camera our experience of seeing gets reduced to a two dimensional, limited by technology (and our choice of equipment) representation of what we see.
If we wanna introduce an “unlimited” variable into our work, we gotta use our mind and our photography and camera operation skills to create our picture.
