What’s the Best _______?
You fill in the blank.
Could be camera, lens, flash, class, exposure modes, exposure settings, etc. I could keep goin’. I won’t.
While the blank part of the question varies, the answer is always the same.
The answer is: It depends.
No one likes that answer.
The “best” tells us what to do. If it don’t work out we can blame the person or article that told us what the best was.
“It depends” forces us to think for ourselves. We consider our own point of view, priorities and circumstances. If it don’t work out, we’ve got no one to blame but ourselves.
That’s ok though. We learn from our mistakes, not by blaming someone for bad advice.
