There’s not really any difference, in terms of photography, between photographing during the day or photographing at night.
You either have more light intensity to work with to work with or less light intensity to work with.
The bottom line is that you need to be able to evaluate what you’ve got to work with in terms of light and adjust your exposure and ISO as you see fit to get the composition that you want.
