Countdown Pedestrian Signal With 59 Seconds
A countdown pedestrian signal displays the walking person symbol and the number 59. According to the Federal Highway Administration, the pedestrian countdown signal appears to be an effective and low cost way to increase safe pedestrian behavior.The walking person symbol means that it is safe to walk while the number 59 represents the number of seconds that a pedestrian has remaining to cross the street.
